decides to trade.
The short version: structure, momentum, session-volume context — in that order. The long version lives below.
Step 1 — Read the structure.
Before the agent even considers an order, it maps the market structure of the last few sessions: swing points, broken ranges, obvious liquidity pools. Trends don't appear by magic — they leave footprints — and if the footprints aren't clean, SilvaBit doesn't open the position.
Step 2 — Measure the momentum.
Structure tells you where. Momentum tells you whether. The agent evaluates relative strength across multiple time-frames (15-minute, 1-hour, 4-hour) and discards any signal where momentum conflicts with structure. That alone kills most false positives.
Step 3 — Check the session volume.
A trending chart on dead volume is not a trending chart — it's a trap. SilvaBit cross-references current session volume against the trailing 7-day average and reduces position size, or outright passes, whenever the market is thin.
Step 4 — Explain. Then execute.
If a trade clears all three filters, the agent writes a one-line rationale före placing the order. That rationale is logged against the trade for the rest of its life. No order ever lands without a reason attached.
